We will only send you text messages if you have explicitly opted in. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS communications from Machado Method, you agree to receive text messages at the number provided, which may include:

How we collect consent: You may opt in to SMS communications through one of the following methods: (1) by checking an opt-in checkbox on a web form on our website; (2) by texting a keyword to our designated number during a campaign or giveaway; or (3) by entering your phone number and confirming consent at event registration or checkout. Each opt-in method is documented and retained by Machado Method.
Message frequency: Up to 5 messages per month, depending on your program or campaign enrollment. Frequency may vary.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any text message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You are never required to provide your phone number or consent to receive text messages to make a purchase or use our services.
We do not share or sell your phone number to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your number is used solely by Machado Method to communicate with you directly.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Supported carriers include (but are not limited to): AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Boost Mobile, US Cellular, and others. Availability may vary by carrier.

When you create an account, purchase a course, register for an event, or opt into a communication program, we may collect:

- Date of birth and gender (where required)
- Mailing and billing address, zip code

When you visit our website, our servers may automatically collect:

3. SMS Opt-In: Giveaways & Promotions
When you participate in a giveaway, contest, or promotion that includes an SMS opt-in, you consent to receive up to 5 text messages per month related to that campaign. By texting a keyword to our number, you consent to receive text messages related to that specific giveaway or promotion.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. You may also receive email updates if you provide your email address during the campaign, unless you request removal by contacting hello@machadomethod.com.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and comply with legal obligations. Specifically:
- Active accounts: Data is retained for the duration of your membership or active relationship with Machado Method.
- Inactive accounts: We retain personal data for up to 3 years after your last activity or account closure, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
- SMS opt-in records: Consent records are retained for a minimum of 4 years to comply with TCPA requirements.
- Transaction records: Purchase and billing records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information, including your phone number, to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist with hosting, billing, data storage, security, and reporting, solely to operate our services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
We may disclose personal information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Machado Method or its users.

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. Machado Method does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We will update this policy if our practices change.

We use Google Analytics with the User ID feature to understand how users interact with our platform across devices and sessions. This helps us improve your experience and track progress. You may opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Machado Method does not currently offer or allow third-party advertising on its platform and does not intend to do so. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and users will be notified.

However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

12. Users Under 18
Our services are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. By using our site, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have done so, we will permanently remove that information from our records.
13. Links to Third-Party Sites
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. Machado Method is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be announced on our website for at least 30 days. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
California Residents — CCPA Rights

Texas Residents — TDPSA Rights
